A Family Bakery Born From Generations of Colombian Tradition

Our story didn’t start in Rhode Island. It started in a Colombian bakery, where our owner — and his six brothers and sisters — were born. Their father was a baker his entire life, raising his family on the warmth of the ovens and the discipline of early mornings.

Frequently Asked Questions

A pandebono is a traditional Colombian cheese bread made with cassava flour, cornmeal, and queso fresco. It’s naturally gluten-free, has a soft chewy interior with a slightly crisp crust, and is best eaten warm. We bake fresh batches throughout the morning at our Pawtucket location.

We’re at 704 Broadway in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, just minutes from downtown Providence and easy to reach from I-95. Free street parking is available out front.

Yes — we serve fresh Colombian coffee daily, prepared as drip, espresso, cortado, latte, cappuccino, or café regular. Our coffee pairs perfectly with a warm pandebono or almojábana.

Traditional pandebono is made with cassava flour and is naturally gluten-free. However, our bakery prepares many products containing wheat in the same kitchen, so we cannot guarantee zero cross-contact. Customers with severe gluten sensitivities should ask our staff for guidance before ordering.

Yes. We regularly bake for parties, office events, weddings, and Colombian holidays like Día de la Independencia. For catering or large orders, please call us at (401) 475-0552 at least 48 hours in advance so we can prepare everything fresh for you.

Both are traditional Colombian cheese breads, but they’re made with different bases. Pandebono uses cassava flour, giving it a chewier interior. Almojábana uses cuajada (a fresh Colombian cheese curd) and is softer, denser, and slightly tangy. We bake both daily — most customers eventually develop a preference, and most try one of each.

We currently offer in-store pickup. Call ahead at (401) 475-0552 and we’ll have your order ready when you arrive. Online ordering and delivery options are coming soon.
